Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is a non-profit humanitarian organization dedicated to serving vulnerable communities and supporting people facing poverty, emergencies, and other difficult circumstances. According to Alkhidmat, its humanitarian work dates back to 1990, and its mission is centered on serving humanity without discrimination and with integrity.

Over the years, Alkhidmat has developed a broad range of humanitarian and community-focused programs covering healthcare, education, orphan care, clean water and sanitation, disaster management, Islamic microfinance, and community services.

Our Journey

Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan states that it was established in 1990 and formally registered as a non-profit organization in 1993. Since then, it has expanded its humanitarian and development activities across Pakistan and has also participated in humanitarian assistance beyond the country.

The organization has grown through the involvement of volunteers, donors, staff, partners, and community members working together to respond to humanitarian needs and develop sustainable solutions.

Our Areas of Work

1. Disaster Management

Alkhidmat responds to emergencies and disasters by providing relief and rehabilitation support to affected communities. Its disaster-management activities are intended to help people recover from crises and rebuild their lives and livelihoods.

2. Health Services

Healthcare is one of Alkhidmat’s major areas of work. Its health initiatives include hospitals, medical facilities, ambulances, laboratories, medical camps, pharmacies, and mobile health services aimed at improving access to healthcare for underserved communities.

3. Education

Alkhidmat works to expand educational opportunities for children and young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Its education initiatives include schools, scholarships, skills-development centers, and child-protection and education programs.

4. Orphan Care

The Orphan Care Program supports orphaned and vulnerable children through initiatives focused on education, healthcare, wellbeing, and development. Alkhidmat also operates Aghosh Homes and provides support to orphan families through different programs.

5. Clean Water & WASH

Alkhidmat’s WASH initiatives focus on improving access to safe drinking water and sanitation in communities where these facilities are limited. Projects include water pumps, wells, filtration systems, and other water-related infrastructure.

6. Islamic Microfinance

Alkhidmat’s Mawakhat program is an Islamic microfinance initiative intended to help deserving people improve their livelihoods. Alkhidmat describes the program in terms of interest-free assistance and support for economic self-reliance.

7. Community Services

Community Services include humanitarian assistance and welfare initiatives addressing essential needs among vulnerable people. These activities have included food assistance, winter support, mobility assistance, Qurbani meat distribution, mosque-related projects, and prisoner welfare initiatives.

Our Impact

Alkhidmat reports substantial humanitarian activity across Pakistan. Its current website lists 2025 figures including 24.64 million lives impacted, 25,809 water projects, 34,113 sponsored orphans, 57 hospitals, 296 ambulances, 80,000 volunteers, 60 schools, and an Islamic-microfinance loan portfolio of PKR 866 million. These figures are Alkhidmat’s reported 2025 figures and should be understood as organization-reported impact statistics.
